After what seemed like an eternity in the wilderness thanks to a certain BBC controller who shall not be named, Doctor Who blasted back onto our screens in 2005 with Christopher Eccleston playing the 9th Doctor. It’s now David Tennant and children everywhere are finding space behind the sofa from which to watch the show on a Saturday evening.

Obviously in these merchandise heavy times, for which me make no apology, the BBC is able to capitalise with a wealth of Doctor Who and TARDIS related toys and games. What self respecting child can be without a Dalek in their bedroom?
