Most of us remember the brilliant and memorable 1988 film Big, starring Tom Hanks and Elizabeth Perkins. For those few who are very unfortunate to have not seen the it I’ll explain. The story is about a young boy who, whilst at his local fairground, wishes to be big on a magic wish machine and the next day wakes up in an adult body.
One of the most memorable scenes in the movies involves Tom Hanks’ character playing a piano which is actually built into the floor so he has to play it by standing on it. I loved this particular sections when I was a kid and always wanted to play on such a piano but I never did.
However, I’ve been looking around the internet for something to by little niece who’ll be 5 next month and I’ve found a piano mat. Oh yes, its a piano that double as a mat so that you when you stand on it you actually play a note.
I can’t wait to get her one although I’m more likely to be playing with it and doing the legendary knee slide along the piano.
