RC Planes, Trains and Automobiles

When I was younger I really wanted a radio controlled helicopter, but they were so expensive. I used to watch this guy take his to the park. It was petrol powered and looked bigger than a small car. He’d start it up, hover it less than 12 inches off the ground and land it again. He never did any more than that, he was too worried about crashing the thing in a ball of fire.

These days of course you can pick up an RC helicopter for under £20, and get RC boats and RC model cars for less than £10 - though the best ones are still Tamya and cost a little more.

Who says toys were better in the Eighties? If they had RC helicopters and RC planes as cheap as they do now I could have gotten into way more trouble than I did.
