Star Wars Figures
Like most people who are avid toy collectors, I’m very much into Star Wars and have collected Star Wars figures ever since they first came out in the 70’s. I’ve got original release figures and of course some of the reissues and prequel figures. As most toy collectors realise these days, the original Star Wars figures can be quite valuable, depending on the figure. For example, the rarest and most valuable of the Star Wars figures are the last seventeen; named so because they were the final 17 figures released before production stopped.
As a consequence they had a very limited shelf life in stores, thus there are very few of them around. The last 17 Star Wars figures included Han Solo in Carbonate, the Death Star Gunner and Luke Skywalker in Endor Gear. These figures, if you have them in mint condition, or even sealed on the card, are worth quite a bit of money.
Will any of the new figures be worth any money? It’s anyone’s guess, but as you can pick them up for just a few pounds it may be worth investing now. Today’s toys could be tomorrow’s wealth.
